Other Membership Forms
The following forms are for current AIA Members who need to make a change in their membership category or assigned chapter.
Upgrade to Architect (from associate)
If you are an associate member and have become licensed, use this form to upgrade to architect status. There is no additional fee, you will simply be billed for the architect category in the next dues cycle.
Upgrade to Emeritus Status
If you are retiring or are unable to work, emeritus status may be granted so long as you are an architect or associate member who has maintained membership for 15 consecutive years immediately prior to application and you are 70 years of age, or incapacitated and unable to work in the profession. In rare cases the institute secretary may also grant emeritus status for special circumstances, by request.
Transfer Chapters (when relocating)
If you are moving to a new chapter, use this form. Members must live or work in the territory of their assigned chapter
